Render this as a plain mailto: link, target mailto:hello@synthcheck.app. It opens your own email client. There is no contact form on this site, because a form would mean a server, and SynthCheck does not have one.

What to write about

  • Bug reports. Something rendered wrong, a file crashed the parser, a result looks obviously incorrect. Tell us the browser, the operating system, and the image format. Do not attach the image unless you are happy for us to have it — we never receive your files through the tool itself, and we would rather keep it that way.
  • A generator we fail to recognise. This is the most useful message you can send. If a tool writes a provenance marker that SynthCheck misses, or misreads, tell us which generator, which version, and what the metadata looks like. A hex dump or an ExifTool output is ideal.
  • A marker we read incorrectly. Same as above: we would much rather be corrected than be confidently wrong.
  • Press and research. Questions about the methodology, the limits of metadata-based provenance, or the EU AI Act angle. Happy to talk.
  • Advertising and sponsorship. Direct enquiries welcome.

What not to expect

SynthCheck is free, has no accounts, and is run as a side project. No support is guaranteed and no response time is promised. We read everything and reply when we can, but there is no service level here, and no one is on call.

Please do not send:

  • requests to analyse an image for you — the tool is the whole service, and we cannot give you a second opinion on a specific picture;
  • requests for an expert report, a certificate, or a statement for use in a legal or disciplinary matter. SynthCheck output is not a forensic determination, and we do not provide one. See the Terms of Use;
  • confidential material. Email is not secure, and we have not asked you for it.

Privacy of your email

If you email us, we hold that message as ordinary correspondence in our mailbox and use it only to reply to you. We do not add you to any list. See the Privacy Policy.
